Overview
The workshop will be delivered over two-part day sessions and will include a mixture of presentations and practical workshops focusing on the evaluation of physical, chemical and technical property data in GB, in support of plant protection products (PPPs). The training will be delivered by HSEs regulatory chemists directly involved in the assessment process. The training will also include an introduction to the 2025 GB Physical, Chemical and Technical Properties Guidance, which is applicable to PPP authorisations in GB submitted from 1 March 2026.
Learning outcomes
Delegates will be provided with knowledge and practical guidance to help them:

- Apply the 2025 GB Physical, Chemical and Technical Properties Guidance when preparing and reviewing PPP submissions.
- Prepare and assess relevant sections of the draft registration report (dRR) – Section B1, B2: Identity and Physical, Chemical and Technical Properties; Part C: Confidential information.
- Understand the requirements and guidance used to assess methods of analysis for the active substance and relevant impurities in the PPP and methods of analysis to support physical, chemical and technical properties.
- Understand the different types of formulation changes and how these are assessed by CRD.
- Identify common issues and omissions in applications and understand how to avoid them.
