Latest Developments in Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecotoxicology and Risk Assessment

In November 2024, the 24th Fresenius Ecotox Conference was held in Düsseldorf, Germany. International experts from industry, regulating authorities, NGOs and academia met to present and discuss the latest developments such as Regulatory Updates, Sustainability within the EU Regulatory Framework and Methods & Modelling & Case Studies. Updates from EFSA, the Central Zone and the Southern Zone were presented by representatives of the corresponding regulatory bodies.

Sustainability in the Crop Protection Sector, the EU Green Deal and Methods and Use of precision Applications were discussed.

The PERIMAR Cost Action – Risk assessment for Amphibians was introduced, as well as Updates from the SETAC working Group on Model Acceptability, Version Control and Development, the German Surface Water Monitoring and the Use of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs to avoid vertebrate testing).
