Biocontrol Unlocked: Mastering EU Registration and Environmental Risk Assessment
As interest in sustainable agriculture grows, biocontrol products are becoming a vital part of integrated pest management strategies. However, navigating the regulatory landscape for biological plant protection products (PPPs) in the EU can be complex and significantly different from chemical PPPs.
This two-day online training offers a focused exploration of the EU regulatory framework for biopesticides. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the legal requirements and scientific principles behind the registration process for biocontrol agents, including microbials, botanicals, and semiochemicals. Particular emphasis will be placed on the approval procedures for active substances and the authorisation of products, as well as the design and evaluation of environmental risk assessments tailored to biological agents.
